You said you’d never compromise
With the mystery tramp, but now you realize
He’s not selling any alibis
As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes
And say do you want to make a deal?
The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see.
This is the sign above the MEAT SECTION in Whole Foods - “A hearty helping of Animal Compassion with every order.”

Compassion Over Killing supports…. compassionate killing? This is the most warped, confused thing I’ve ever seen. It’s very likely that people will now feel more comfortable about purchasing corpses, with feathers smoothed and guilty consciences abated. Data shows that countries with the most regulated animal welfare standards (such as Switzerland, who has banned battery cages for example) consume a greater volume of animal products per capita. (X) Isn’t it obvious why? It’s because people feel that they can rest easy if they believe their “food” was raised with kindness and slaughtered with love. Regulation and the promotion of welfarism has been proven to move the animal rights movement backwards.
Vegan friends, we must combat welfarist apologists and call these acts of “compassion” what they truly are — sugar-coated violence.
